These terms govern your use of xdtronics.com, store.xdtronics.com, and any design, manufacturing, or consulting services provided by XD TRONICS. By using our site or placing an order you agree to these terms. Plain English, no traps.
1. Services
Studio work (PCB design, firmware, 3D modeling, manufacturing)
- All project work is agreed in writing before it begins: scope, deliverables, price, and timeline.
- You own all project files and intellectual property upon full payment. We retain the right to show the work in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing.
- We're not responsible for delays caused by late feedback, missing assets, or third-party manufacturers outside our control.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days. Significant scope changes require a revised quote.
Store purchases
- Prices are shown in USD and include applicable taxes at checkout.
- We dispatch orders within 2 business days. Shipping times depend on your location and the chosen carrier.
- Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier collects the parcel.
2. Payments
- Store payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
- Studio projects typically require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the balance due on delivery.
- Overdue invoices accrue interest at 1.5% per month after 30 days.
3. Returns & refunds
Store
- Unused items in original condition may be returned within 30 days for a full refund.
- Return shipping is your responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
- Custom-ordered or special-order items are non-returnable.
- Faulty items will be replaced or refunded at our discretion.
Studio work
- Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
- If we fail to deliver agreed deliverables we will refund the portion of the project fee proportionate to the undelivered work.
4. Intellectual property
- All site content (copy, graphics, design, code) is owned by XD TRONICS or licensed to us. Don't copy it without permission.
- Open-source designs we publish are licensed under the terms stated in the respective repository (typically CERN-OHL or MIT).
- You may not use our name, logo, or brand assets without written permission.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our site or services to:
- Design or manufacture anything intended to cause harm to people or infrastructure.
- Circumvent export control laws or sanctions.
- Scrape, spam, or probe our systems.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, XD TRONICS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services or products. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We don't warrant that our site will be available 100% of the time, or that any product will meet every requirement you have. That's what the pre-project call is for.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which XD TRONICS is registered. Disputes that can't be resolved informally will be subject to binding arbitration before any court proceedings.
8. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
